The Legal Link Corporation provides manual and electronic searches and registrations under the Personal Property Security Act (P.P.S.A.). The Personal Property Security Registration System in Ontario is a computer-based system that allows for both registrations and enquiries. Registering under this system helps to establish priorities between individuals with competing interests in the same personal property. Searching under this system will determine if there are any outstanding liens, mortgages, debentures or any financial interests on behalf of creditors.

PPSA - REGISTRATIONS
Simply provide us with the filing particulars by fax, email or mail, and Legal Link’s corporate representatives will take care of all the details. We will ensure prompt and accurate registration under the PPSA by following standard in-house procedures which involve: receipt of client sign-offs (if requested) of all information prior to registration, and complete document review to ensure that all mandatory information is present for each filing.

PPSA - SEARCHES
P.P.S.A. Verbal or Certified Printouts indicate whether the personal property of a corporation, individual, business name or a motor vehicle identification number is encumbered and subject to the security interests of creditors. A verbal response printout report is available within thirty minutes of placing an order if the report does not contain more than twenty registrations attached to a single debtor. If a high volume of registrations exists, a certified printout will be provided the following business day.
